none-so-far
I TOOK A LONG TIME TO HIT THIS NUMBER OF POSTS! Cos I choose to update once -- or twice, for that matter -- in a month. Blame my gameboy and N64 emulators.
Anyway.
The holidays = Eventful. Too, if I may add.
We went for Math Carnival @ NUS on the 3rd-5th June and guess what? I MET MRS SEOW AND MRS IDIL ohemmghee.
It was back-breaking work, believe me. My back ached the next 2 days. Why? Because part of my job description was to "bend down and pick up rubber bands when people shoot them". So you see.
And then Michelle didn't come on the 5th so the four of us were just about to DIE. And then unfortunately Synth-di got some eye allergy and then she was out-of-action for awhile and then there were just 3 of us manning the booth. ACK.
But our reward was all the remaining prizes. (sweets + toblerone!) And then because Joelle just bought a new pack and there were 16 inside one packet, so we (everyone except for Michelle haha) got 4 each. Then it appears that there was one extra so we gave it to Joelle cos she bought it.
AND THEN there were LOTS AND LOTS of fruitplus sweets left so we split them evenly. and we got one whole bunch each. None for you, Michelle!
ohohoh and then on the 18th (this is my 18th post too, you know!) we had platoon outing. Yeah. 8/22 people is still (I guess) slightly better than 3/13 people, the poor NCC land-ers. And it just oh-so-coincidentally happened that we had "platoon" outing (note the quotation marks!) on the same day of the same week of the same month AND AT THE SAME PLACE. Eek.
Oho we invited Jaslyn and Hui Yi too so it was like "let's eat at burger king!" yeah. (Cos we went to Vivo first then bought the Sentosa pass. So you see.) So it happened that I was sitting opposite Jaslyn, and I was trying very hard to ignore them. I succeeded in NOT making eye contact. Ok that's not really a great achievement so haha never mind. (Oh yeah, next time you go to the Vivo BK outlet, TAKE ONION RINGS, and DON'T ASK FOR FRIES. They taste super bland without chili.) And then we didn't even talk to them. Or even say hi. And we invited them for "bonding", or so the emails say. Personally, I think we're on better terms with them during CCA time.
So we spent like one hour EATING. JUST EATING. Never mind I haven't gotten over it yet, but what a waste of time.
I bet they were bored, too. 5 bucks on it to whomever challenges me. Then, finally, we went to buy the passes! Omigawd it actually happened! And I was beginning to think we might be staying in Vivo like, the entire day. I sure hope that NEVER EVER happens. Ever.
THEN we went to sentosa. Yeah we spent twenty minutes deciding whether to cycle or not. Like, 20 WHOLE MINUTES. So Xiao Yun and Michelle and I went ahead first. And then, 10 minutes later, they FINALLY joined us.
Then I was going to u-turn and Xiao Yun didn't know so she crashed straight into me and then I got this nice big scab and a bruises in my ankle region. Owch.
And then it was the beach. Dreaded area. Gave me sunburn, even though I didn't even go to the water edge. I mean, hello, I was wearing SOCKS and SHOES and then I had this nice little scrape that took off skin and then you want me to go near SALT WATER?! They don't mix very well, you know. (Well, then, in case you didn't, this is FYI.) Then they found this starfish and, let's put it this way, I was mildly amused. Mildly. So I ended up drawing pictures in the sand and, though I don't know how, having sand in my socks and shoes even though I didn't take them off. Weird. Very.
Then we spent like another 10 minutes after that contemplating whether or not to go to the luge. So after 10 minutes of debate, we ended up with the answer, NO! For all that time wasted.
Then we finally went back to Vivo and I was like, hell, what a bore. I'm willing to increase my bet to 10 bucks.
So I shall have a new post to describe today, a.k.a. NCC DAY so till then, sayonara!
