I'm walking in the rain Tears are falling and I feel the pain

I'm in 301. And the entire class is ridiculously smart. Seriously. A lot of Math RA people.

Kill me now, someone.

I wanted to be in 313 actually! 13 is my lucky number. Boo. (Zer and Chew! I am jealous.)

Haha the only pairing I can think of Lance with is Lorelei, because his ego is so freaking big only she can match him on that point. But you did not just hear me say that. Oh, and how can people not hear about this? It was like THE ship back in those days.

I am hungry.

But I don't have the heart to love you

Not the way you want me to

Today was retarded. We should play truth or dare more often. So long as it does not include me calling anyone (AHEM YES I KNOW YOU WERE GOING TO MAKE ME CALL HER, JAL) and telling them that they are pretty/have beautiful eyes. Also, next time I go to Far East, I am going to bring about fifty bucks with me. ): I WANT THOSE SHOES, BWAHHHHHH. And that dark green plaid bag. Oh and for our FAM we should all wear um PLATFORM BOOTS haha (:.

I don't wanna walk without the sunshine

Am currently in a 'I AM ANGRY, FEAR ME' mode. Which is somewhat different from the panic attacks I've been having the past few days, so that's good. I hope.

Kill me now, someone. I want to scribble something down.

Oh, and screw you, school.

I could feel the sun on my back But I was afraid to let the light in

Awwhh, my favourite quote: "巧姨她不是疯了。 她只是不想放弃一个坚持了半辈子的梦。" From episode nine, which is by far my favourite episode.

Ultimate win-ness, both of them fight over a ginseng which they're going to give to the same person anyway, hurhur. And they have no idea who the other is referring to. THIS IS SO AMUSING. But personally? I think Liza Wang doesn't really do the role of a spoilt princess well enough. And I cannot stand the way Myolie Wu exaggerates her movements when she talks, it's annoying, although many people probably find it cute or something.

Conclusion? As I've said before, the best attraction in this show is Christine Ng, thank god for it's only saving grace. She does the part of Lung Hao Hao very well. It's good though, if you want a laugh that's not too overdone or anything.

And you know what? For some reason, although I have originally watched it when it aired in Singapore (in Chinese), but when I watch it online again, with the volume turned off, I read the subtitles is Cantonese and imagine them saying stuff in Cantonese UGHHHHHHH. What is wrong with me.

Also, I find it amusing that I know more about TVB and/or ATV news than I do mediacorp news, that is rather strange.

You're not fooling me R.I.P.

Post number twohundredandtwentytwo!

This is a[nother] long ranty TVB post. Yes, again. Because, freaking hell, I am rather annoyed at how everyone thinks Siu Tsui (I can't be bothered to type in chinese) is so selfish and annoying and wants Chung-ling all to herself, and because of that teams up with Ko Jit and tries to harm the relationship between Chung-ling and Sum Yu.

GAHH.

Okay, so you see, the whole point is that I don't even think that Siu Tsui actually romantically loves Chung-ling in the first place, it's more of that she enjoys spending time and having physical contact with him but I wouldn't say that she loves him the way he loves Sum Yu. There are evidences that show that, you know. It's like how she's jealous not when the three of them are spending time together. She isn't angry at Sum Yu, and she doesn't mind being with both of them, so long as she can spend time with Chung-ling. And considering the fact that she is a fox spirit who just recently turned into a human, I'm not surprised. If even humans themselves can barely understand the feelings they have for each other, how can you expect a fox spirit who has just turned into a human to understand what a human does not? Refer to the time when Siu Tsui prayed to the Nine-Tailed Fox. She tells the Nine-Tailed Fox that she doesn't know what's she's feeling, and she doesn't understand why it makes her feel the way she does. Siu Tsui doesn't understand that what she's feeling is love, and how to respond to it. The way she loves him is the same as how she loves attention, how she loves how he makes her feel happy. For her, it is all about gratification. She sees the amount of attention that he's paying to Sum Yu and because she wants that, she wants him to love her too so that she can get that attention. The way she loves him can't be classified by our modern day standards of love, because it doesn't fit in any class. After all, there isn't any class that includes the love of a woman/animal. She wants attention and physical contact the way a pet wants love and attention from its master, or the way a sibling's attention is taken away with the involvement of a new person. It's similar to having your playmates and best friends being taken with each other and ignoring you. She's just lonely. And, as she herself admitted, she says that she's happy for them. She says that she's just sad when she saw them together, and as treated as if she's invisible. She doesn't know if it's because she loves him, but she thinks it is, because she's an animal spirit and totally new to the human world, which she has no contact with until now. Think about it this way, if you were born straight as an adult, or young adult, into the human world, you wouldn't understand society's rules or expectations, and you wouldn't previously have the freedom of exploring these feelings. Siu Tsui tells Sum Yu that she just wants to stay by Chung-ling's side so that she can care for him, which to her mind - that of an animal spirit - would be in the same way that a pet would love and care for it's master. However, to Sum Yu, who has grown up in a human society, and has a different understanding of the terms 'love', 'romance', 'fidelity' and 'marriage', Siu Tsui appeared to her as wanting Chung-ling alone and for herself, something that her human mind cannot accept because she feels that she loves Chung-ling and cannot really share him with someone else. This, of course, does not apply to Siu Tsui because she obviously does not mind spending time with both of them, so long as she isn't neglected, and just wants to be able to stay by his side and spend time with him, with the one who can't accept that being Sum Yu. Sum Yu misunderstands this by thinking that she loves him in the sense that she wants him to be with her only, because her human nature doesn't allow the sharing of the person she loves and she does not understand that as a fox, Siu Tsui does not interpret that the same way. Everytime they has a conversation togerher, it starts off civilly until Sum Yu declares war, in which Siu Tsui will flare up because Sum Yu is misunderstanding that she only wants Chung-ling for herself. Which comes back to the point that she doesn't actually romantically love Chung-ling.

... which of course, shows that she isn't that selfish for wanting to spend time with Chung-ling, and you can also say that it is partially their fault for not trying to comprehend her animalistic mindset and instincts, and as you know what they say, the ignorant are not innocent. And the point is that Sum Yu knows that she is a fox spirit, and yet doesn't try to think that as a fox spirit who has just turned into a human, she might have a totally different mindset, and doesn't try to accommodate her. Not that I'm saying that they must, of course, but it is due to Chung-ling's negligence and the fact that he paid so much more attention to Sum Yu made Siu Tsui jealous, not of the fact that he loved her, but that he paid more attention to her. As she wanted that attention too, she tries to make him love her so that she will not be neglected.

There. Finally out of my system. Never knew watching dramas could get me so worked up and angry, but maybe rewatching does that to you - you tend to pay more attention to the story and the characters, and analyze them. Or maybe it's just me.

I'm also thinking of rewatching Wars of In-Laws, because people keep on telling me that its only saving grace is Christine Ng as Lung Hao Hao and from what I remember of the show, I have to agree. So that means in order to actually finsh my analysis of it I need to rewatch it.

... I like how Fala is singing Links To Temptation's theme song. But really, thank goodness they decided to get Fala to star with Steven because I really couldn't stand yet another Steven/Linda or Steven/Tavia. Not that I have anything against them of course, but it does get a little boring after a while. Unfortunately, they've been starring as siblings for so long (that is, in their first two collaborations, this will be the fourth time they're filming together and the previous one was Ghost Writer) that to see them being paired up as a couple almost feels like incest, or something along those lines. Hell, they even address each other as siblings. Having the two of them paired up is just... Bizarre. And I can't seem to twist my mind around it.

Whenever you reach for me I'll do all that I can

I have nothing to do. More like, nothing better to do than watch dramas online.

I want to watch Links to Temptation after it finishes showing in hongkong! It will be good! (: It will also be the first time Fala Chen gets to act in a lead role, I think. ._. How do I know that, I have no idea too.

That is, when I do have time. Which will only be in the holidays, or otherwise, never. LTT finishes in January. Which means that I won't have time to watch it. BLEAH. I hope my mother borrows it from her friend, that would solve a lot of my problems.

Triple cheat, I approve. Okay. Here's the reason. Girl acts as guy (she pretends to be her brother) and no one knows that the girl and the guy are the same person. Random girl likes the girl who's acting as a guy while she's acting as a guy. Due to some screw up, random girl does not want to marry and would rather die because she likes girl-who-is-acting-as-a-guy. To solve problem, girl goes to her house and pretends to be her brother, who she is (because her brother doesn't exist in the first place, heh). In order to stop screw up, girl (who is now 'her brother', and who she is) acts as her 'brother', that is, her 'male' counterpart. And then they pretend that her 'brother' is a girl who's acting as a guy. When her 'brother' doesn't even exist.

Does that make sense? No. I didn't think so.

But you didn't need to know. And anyway, that was just for the heck of content, and because it is freaking hilarious.

Also, of course, due to rewatching Ghost Writer, I have fallen in love with Fala Chen's myriad of expressions (her eyes are very expressive). Hooray.

Someday you and me Will find ourselves in love again

When I went online today, someone (AHEMAHEM, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) asked me: "why do you type in chinese on your blog!" So now I shall just refer to people by their English names. And by the way, I type in chinese because when I say their names I say it in cantonese, ._.

On another note, YOU HAVE NO FREAKING IDEA HOW MUCH NIKI CHOW AND FALA CHEN LOOK ALIKE, OMFG.

Okay, ignore that (arrows to line[s?] above).

I think it is scary how I think of actors/actresses by what they've acted previously. The other day I when I was watching Moonlight Resonance, I saw Nancy Wu and my sister and I were like OMG ISN'T THAT 迦樓羅/莫邪. Which is from Legend of the Demigods, and it just doesn't link, because LOTG and MR?! And like when we watched The Gentle Crackdown (again) we went like ISN'T THAT 天尊! Also, I remember when we were going to watch CBML my sister and I were looking at the list of actors/actresses and then we stared at each other and shouted ELAINE YIU?!?!

Watching DVDs is hilarious. You can rewatch every single scene and laugh at the stupid parts and everything. :D

Rewatching Ghost Writer and laughing hard at 小翠 asking questions about everything. And not knowing how to act. Too funny. OMG THE WAY SHE SPEAKS IS EPIC, HURHUR. And 令狐小翠 is an epic name, isn't it a bit obvious? Her grandfather is just weird. Really. 小翠 is so naive. And innocent. //facepalm. It is amusing how when she's 女扮男装 she has all the women swooning over her and she doesn't even know it. Again, so naive.

[/ edit: I am just a little on the annoyed side, because you didn't ask anyone before you did it, and now you blame me for not telling you and for you getting scolded. WHAT?! And also, it's not even my responsibility so why on earth are you blaming me? Forget it, I'll go back to rewatching my drama.

Also, I envy how people can go fangirl over random stuff like k/jpop and there's people like them, while I can go either TVB! or BANGLES! and people will go "TVB? BANGLES?" My life is terrible.]

Walking through an empty house Tears in my eyes

For some reason, hongkong dramas are always better in cantonese. Because, seriously, hongkong comedies are hilarious. They have epic rhymes AND THE BEST THING IS THAT THEIR NAMES PUN. Awesomely.

Because in Cantonese 吴四德 is the same as 不死的, and et cetera. And the script is so lame it's actually funny. If you're interested you can go watch it! :D (I know no one is, but hell yeah.) It's called Can't Buy Me Love (公主嫁到). Hooray.

... why am I helping TVB promote. ._. But really, they are hilarious. If you understand cantonese. I'm hoping it will show in singapore soon, because, really, I WANT TO WATCH HOW TERRIBLE IT WILL BE WHEN IT HAS BEEN DUBBED! I feel so evil, like so. > :D And the same applies for the many other TVB shows I have watched (DVDs or at my grandmother's house) because it would be nice to laugh at how horrible the dubbing is (which is always).

OMG I JUST REALISED I SPENT APPROX. 24 HOURS ON THE SHOW, o_o. Because it's 45 minutes per episode (approx.) and it's 32 episodes. So it's about one whole day. WHICH GOES TO SAY THAT I SPENT AT LEAST SIX HOURS POLISHING MY BOOTS, OMGWTFBBQ?!

And 陈法拉 has the most epic expressions in Ghost Writer. And because I have been watching a lot of TVB dramas recently, No Regrets is awesome too! I don't regret watching it (HURHURHUR). It's like how 胡定欣 in Legend of the Demigods (an old TVB drama) is just plain awesome.

And anyway, I would go on a random and very long TVB rant (WHYWHYWHY DIDN'T THEY HAVE MORE SCENES OF THIS AND THAT AND ET CETERA) but no one would want to listen to me so I shall just type in a .txt document and then delete it, so long!

It seems to me that there are more hearts Broken in the world that can be mended

Have I already mentioned, I love the library? :D It has awesome books. Popular is sadly lacking in non-fiction, unlike the library. Where the non-fiction section is wayyyy larger than the fiction, and where there's National Geographic/BBC/History Channel/Discovery Channel/etc. DVDs to borrow. Oh, and there're Marvel/DC comics. :D That basically throws it sky-high in my list.

Anyway. I am... a little (yes, just a little) disturbed by the things my mother has been telling me, but I really don't want to say here, well, because. It's just that disturbing.

Well, ELEVEN MORE DAYS TO KRIMBLE. I don't know why I'm so... hyper? I don't even celebrate it, :/. And no, I don't get presents either.

I hope they don't make the "b", "i", etc. tags obsolete, because that would be terrible and you'd need to insert it in the header and unless you're making it more fanciful, you generally don't need specifying that "b" means bold and "i" means italicized. So I really don't know if it's a good thing about CSS replacing some html tags, but maybe they should just keep it the way it is now, it works for everyone. If you're only going to use a certain font once, wouldn't you prefer to use the old "font" tag instead of setting a tag/class/id in the front just to use once?

Why am I so annoyed.

And yes, I agree. Games are not just meant to be played. Games are powerful.

[/ edit: I LOVE HOW EVERYONE SCREAMS BAKURAAAAAAA WHEN HE FINALLY APPEARS, HAHA. Also, I pwn Odion. Really, Kaiba should be honoured. He's the first person EVER to get mind crushed by Exodia.]

Everyone told me to be strong Hold on and don't shed a tear

I am sleepy. :/

Anyway.

I have been playing yu-gi-oh on vba recently, and my deck is spammed with powerful ritual monsters and magic cards that up the attack/defense of the monsters, like two sword of the deep-seated. Which, if you dump to magician of black chaos with axe of despair and with yami in effect ups its attack to 4800, and if you do that for black luster soldier ups it to 5000. Which is ridiculously high, considering the base attack of black luster soldier is 3000. The masked beast with all that and beast fangs will have 5500, which is enough to kill almost everything. Or everything, for that matter. There are also other power ups and more powerful monsters :D. The only annoying part is when the cards I draw don't match or when my opponent is being annoying. And I have not enough stars to sacrifice. That just sucks. Anyhow, Espa Roba is nice to trash up, :D. So is everyone else.

One of these days these boots Are gonna walk all over you

Sigh. There's only so much you can draw with a computer and no zoom tool.

Also, it is weird to see the thing you've spent the past two hours drawing being played out in a minute or two. :/ Now I know why watching people do it actually seems so easy, BECAUSE THEY SPEED EVERYTHING UP by like 100000000x.

WHAT THE CRAP. I REALIZED THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY ZOOM. D: Grah. I am annoyed. Fear me.

It isn't very good, but it's better than the last. But it just doesn't look good. The colouring is okay, but the picture is a big no no. ):

I think the worst thing about hand-colouring is that you don't get to merge colours, or use transparency. So you need to pick your colours really carefully. What's great though, is that you can control the strokes and the pressure and essentially everything else that you can't do on a computer.

Anyway!

The One Million Masterpiece Arts Project
Colouring with a mouse, is hell. I envy people who have tablets. Oh, and I know the picture is annoying but yeah.(:

Memories, good days, bad days They'll be, with me always

I am tired.

From
CodingBat > Java > Array1 > biggerTwo
Or, http://codingbat.com/prob/p109537

public int[] biggerTwo(int[] a, int[] b) {
  if ((b[0]+b[1])>(a[0]+a[1]))

  else return a;

Aha! I have kind of gotten the hang of basic arrays. And a bit of more complex strings.

I am hoping and praying that Ms Goh won't kill us on Saturday.

This must be a strange deception By celestial intervention

There's this quote near the end of The Magician's Nephew when Aslan tells Digory and Polly that Jadis "has won her heart's desire; she has unwearying strength and endless days like a goddess. But length of days with an evil heart is only length of misery and already she begins to know it. All get what they want: they do not always like it." I remember reading it and thinking that that was absolutely incorrect.

I don't think I ever believed him because people don't always get what they want. And from reading the stories I don't think Jadis is the sort of person to wallow in misery, she's too pragmatic to even think of being in depressive introspection. It is also quite doubtful that she would even feel misery because all that she is capable of feeling appears to be limited to anger, fear, pride, hatred, self-gratification, possessiveness, and possibly the sense of joy that she is possibly the strongest or most powerful person, or that she's hurt someone. Misery (and not even greed, or ambition!) is not something one would associate with her, because what she thinks seems to be more on the lines of 'everything is rightfully mine, I just need to get them to acknowledge it' and not of 'I want to take over the world'. If you have read The Magician's Nephew, you'd see that the way she acts in London (what with ordering people around) is as if she is the rightful ruler, even though she has just arrived in a world where no one has heard of "Charn", let alone her.

The other point is that he also said that "they do not always like it." This is admittedly partially true, of course, but Jadis would never be the sort to regret that she did something, or even if she did, she'd probably like it in the end. She is evil (and I don't think anyone would ever contend that point), cruel, apathetic, selfish, and I would even go as far as too say that she's sociopathic. She enjoys torturing people and revels in their pain. She'd probably even go as far as to murder her own subjects. She thinks of people as either tools for her use, and that she's their rightful owner and all she needs to do is to make them acknowledge it, or as obstacles that she can easily take care of. But immortality is what she desires, and when she gets it, Aslan says she'll regret ever getting it because all that she will feel with length of days and an evil heart is an exponentially increased length of misery. That is untrue, because you will only feel everlasting misery for being evil and immortal if you actually care about how people view your morality. I don't think Jadis actually cares about whether people thinks she's evil or not, and if she doesn't care, what she doesn't care about can't hurt her, can it? So you know that she doesn't not like it, nor does she regret it, because not only is regret is a waste of energy, she would only regret it if she cared about what people thought of her, and she doesn't care about that, does she?

So what can I say, I'll have to disagree with Aslan's words, and by association, C.S. Lewis.

I apologize for that ridiculously long post because I just had to say that somewhere. And of course, there are a lot of others, but don't expect them. Unless I really am in a terrible mood (or it is the holidays, like it is now), in which you'll probably see about three hundred different ideologies about a hundred different things and I'd probably never work up the nerve to post it. But the thing is that I do want to say something, and above all I do want to say something about my thoughts on different things and that just appeared out of nowhere while I was doing random character analyses. Yes, I actually do that when I have nothing better to do. It provides about just as much entertainment than song analyses, and it does get more interesting when people actually know who or what I am talking about, unlike in songs.

[edit]
Isn't it strange that the Legend of Zelda Main Theme was composed by Koji Kondo in 1986, which is the same year that the Different Light album came out and WLAE made to the top of the billboards for four weeks (which, by the way, is a first for girl bands) around Christmas time, 14 years ago.
