I close my eyes Only for a moment And the moment's gone
Kind of random, but right now I am insanely happy.
So happy I'm giddy.
If I were feeling anymore out of it than I already am, I'd go into this long rant about how the world is wonderful and everything is bright and gay and pretty, but no, I'm not, so the world isn't all that wonderful, yet.
It is fan-
tas-tic to feel this way.
Anyway!
I went to my cousin's house the other day (I'm sorry I can't say the exact day, both Saturday and Sunday somehow feel like the same day in my head - must be the wine) so we sat around and watched some movies together (like Tron and Tron: Legacy, which I
finally got around to watching) and we were speculating about stuff. And hell
yes my
other cousin's ex-girlfriend was there which is fantastic, I love her, she's awesome. No, I am not being weird, she's about thirty this year? I don't remember, but anyway, she just returned from overseas (after how many months now, jeez).
So, my cousin went, "How do you think Flynn explained death to Quorra? You know, since she's an ISO and technically doesn't die, and I don't think he's ever touched on the matter of religion."
And my cousin's ex-girlfriend gave him this questioning look. "Imagine explaining the different religions then."
I didn't really have anything to say to that; so, "He tells Quorra, 'When we die, we go to the Great Programmer in the Sky.'"
We all cracked up.
And we ended up attempting to describe religions that way. And we realized that that was kind of flawed, because in the Grid,
Flynn is the creator, so he goes to himself?
I kind of fell asleep halfway through Top Gun though, so I'm going to have to watch that again. And on Friday night I ended up watching Funny Girl with my mother, Barbra Streisand has a lovely voice.
Looking forward to watching movies with my cousin and cousin's ex-girlfriend again.
I'm upset about some things, and happy about others, but right now the happiness is making me sound like I'm a complete ass because it sounds like I don't give a damn, but really.
Sheet music makes me insanely happy. After downloading like forty files, I started jumping up and down like an excited elephant, or so my sister says, but I don't trust her. Still. I am in love with the violin solo of Dust in the Wind.
Jauntily (and if there is such a word - tripping-ly) playing the right hand chords of Defying Gravity, because I'm going to use it to mug for Chem, so I need to know how to play the score. I'd rather use Olivier Toussaint's Nostalgy instead, but that's already Bio for me. And this year Twilight Princess' End Credits are going to be for Geog, unless I find something more suitable? Gambia's national anthem? Theme from the Fifth Symphony? Minuet from Don Juan? And yes, Sound of Silence is for Physics. Memory seems to work for Math, so I'm keeping it that way, it's just pretty annoying to play on my piano.
Looking for more scores, and since she's back, getting my cousin's ex-girlfriend to play them a few times for me. Yes, I'm mean like that.
[/edit: And all of a sudden, I don't feel so bad for being alone. It actually feels pretty good, and no, I'm not a masochist of any sort. Sexual or otherwise. Because yes, that's the etymology of the word.
At least I don't have anyone to worry about.
As a side note, episode 18 of Face to Fate leaves us a surprisingly AWK Derek/Nancy pairing, because the position she's sitting in seems really, really, uncomfortable.]

And I might still cry And I might still bleed
These thorns in my side
This heart on my sleeve
And lightning may strike
This ground at my feet
And I might still crash
But I still believe
I need to continue writing; I need to finish what I've started, don't I?
I think I write a lot more when I'm in school, well, because. Just because. And also because my father needs his netbook I'm just going to spend my time filing my nails in school instead of actually typing out my ideas (which I can just write down, but then again I'm just too lazy to transfer what I've written down onto the computer).
Oh, and as a random fact, do you know that according to Strunk and White's
Elements of Style, "too" is a commonly misspelled word? So is "Philip". It's understandable actually, but still amusing nonetheless.
I. Need. To. Chill.
And stop being so affected by... things.
The other day I was talking to
someone (indefinite pronoun, so I don't need to use a gender-specific pronoun later) and (because I'm trying not to say who it is, and using "they" is plainly bad grammar)
he (which can be used as a gender-non-specific pronoun) was trying to tell me that it doesn't matter, but it very plainly and obviously does. Even if
he doesn't want it to be.
Because things don't always work out the way we (personal pronoun) want them to, and if they do we find that they're not what we want in the end.
And also because (and yes, this is directed to you! I suppose you don't know who you are, but then again I've only talked to five people since the start of the holidays so that narrows it down a whole lot, no?) you have no idea what is it like to be in my shoes - or anyone else who's with me on this, for that matter -; so, stop acting like you do know.
Trust me when I say you don't.
And get sleep, yes.
...I feel the need to slap some people, who are right now, on the verge of pissing me off to do the most dramatic thing I would do in my entire life. Which, by the way, includes going right up to them and slapping them silly the next time I see them.
Seriously, I mean,
seriously? Can they even get more impossible and just downright
Irresponsible (with a capital "I" totally emphasized) than they are now?
Just. Go away.

I trust my soul And my only goal is just to be
I really do think I'm on a writing spree.
Five poems in three hours is really.
Really.
Extreme.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I got a
little buzzed last night (four glasses of wine, perhaps?) and had to type a note to remind myself of the embarrassing things I did. Such as singing No Good Deed very loudly and then laughing at myself, because the only thing I remember is the laughing part. Not what I was laughing at.
It's actually pretty amusing how my father thinks I'm too young to drink coffee. And lets me drink anything from his alcohol collection.
The 2012 IKEA catalogue just came in the mail!

It's time now to sing out Though the story never ends
I feel accomplished. Seriously, I managed to write out 1400+ words in about four hours. With an infinite amount of writer's blocks. No, really. This, my dears, is why I love writing. This is why I put myself through this torture. Seriously. I feel fantastic right now.
Insanely proud of self.
...
really.
I love you, notepad.

Why can't you stay calm for once Instead of flying off the handle
Frankly, it really bothers me that I am even bothered by
stuff in the first place because I swore to myself that this is something I'm going to wash my hands off.
And the best part is, I'm trying to, sort of
escape from it by
writing. Really, how hilarious is that?
...
Screw, I need to do my English essay.
Should stop writing, perhaps. I need to link up my scenes, though, so.
