There's no place better than here right now
Ugh. I need someone to help me with the var.quote code. It doesn't work the way I want it to. So the plan to change my blogskin is currently stalled.
On another note!
vixy.net is so awesome. I now have about twenty videos and I busted my thumbdrive space already :P
Whatever(:
Bye.

A thousand boats dancing on the bay
STOP CRASHING ON ME STUPID COMPUTER.
Guess what I edited my skin! Now it's the lyrics to I'll Set You Free. Which is running on and on through my head.
I think that the parallel structure thing in songs is cool. (:
Whatever.
Water is inflammable! That is interesting.
[/edit: Michelle, I think that
your grammar isn't much better either, so stop pointing out everyone's mistakes. At least we can understand what the person is trying to say even with those mistakes. Or if
you can't, you could just tell them to type it in a way everyone would understand. There is no need to correct every single word. On to the point about hypocrisy. Look, your capitalization and punctuation are not much better either so your "fault finding" isn't proving very effective. And I hope you can tell that I am really
pissed. Also, I'm not saying that people should proofread whatever they type or anything, just asking them to express it in a common way. You, however, are picking on all the small details, be they typos or colloquial terms, that can be easily understood. And it's not as if you don't use those either. I can't speak for everyone whom you targeted but I am quite sure it was their intention was to be understood and not to be told by someone who
isn't using proper grammar either that they are not using proper grammar. I hope you do understand. And if you think that using proper capitalization is "hip" and "cool", then you could just try to use it too. I, for one, do not think so, I just find that it is professional in every sense of the word because otherwise II take a very long time to understand whatever else is typed. It is up to you if you don't want to use it but please try to remember not to enforce your way of thinking on others who would rather use
proper capitalization.]

Your head is filled with questions, sights and sounds
Gosh I just remembered something really funny.
I WILL NEED TWO ANKLE GUARDS! (You know how last year Julie only needed one?!)
Thank you Shasha for giving me such an epic quote. Because she wants to be PTI then torture me. D:
...And then I start thinking about Camp STEEL again. About how my lucky number is like, thirteen, because it's lucky for me and unlucky for everyone else! Which is awesome. And don't ask me how that's related to Camp STEEL because it just
is. I can't remember
how, though. Something about lucky numbers... and somehow it was discussed during paintball. Ah well.
Asquare!
I suddenly recall something. Julie asked us not to call her ma'am (AHEMAHEM) and then so what do we call her? It's kind of strange. I remember how we ended up laughing so hard when she first told us not to call her ma'am and the other schools were looking at us as if we were crazy of something(: Betcha know why.

See what's become of me
What good is being strong, when all I ever really want is you
Streetlights and washing machines.
I don't know how those are related. I was just thinking of them.

Gosh I love my phone(: I have my continuous playlist of twentytwo songs playing whenever my phone is on. And I'm assuming you can guess what those twentytwo songs are.
I suddenly feel like breaking out into the bridge of Complicated Girl don't worry I have no idea why too.
And my thumbdrive deleted my Geography AA. Again.
Now I need to redo it. Again. Aw.
Genius.

Ohmygod RED Fenders are really, awesomely, cool.
Yes I just noticed.
Studio fan! There's something cool about studio fans. They are weird(: In a really cool way.
VERTICAL STRIPES AND HORIZONTAL STRIPES PICK ONE.

So now I must go on, what more can I do
Ugh.
I'll set you free is playing through my head. That's pretty unhealthy, even though I really like it.
I remember eyes that shined
As they looked so hard back into mine
Now it's just a memory
So I'll set you free
I remember words that fell
Like coins into a wishing well
This was never meant to be
So I'll set you free
I can't stop thinking about it GET OUT OF MY HEAD SUSANNA HOFF'S VOICE + VICKI DEBBI PETERSON'S + MICKI'S BACKING.
Ahhh. I like Garage Band it is so awesome.
I showed Michelle the If She Knew What She Wants video now Michelle thinks Debbi Peterson is cool because she can play drums and sing at the same time! All of them can do that actually. Well, I have nothing against that anyway. So.
I suddenly feel hungry. D:
That is not good.
I shall go eat now.

Who knows, maybe they were out getting stoned
We were the lost and lonely ones
We hid in the discotheques all night long
Till we could see the morning sun
Denny was king he'd rock the place
Dressed like a working girl from outer space
He was dancing like he wanted to dance his life away
Oh my gosh look so exciting Vicki's RP chat is out!
Aw, only four pages. Maybe cos Vicki's answers aren't as... wacky as Michael's. Which has seven pages. Or maybe just because Michael has a larger fan base.
Ugh oh yes I want to sue Mr DeSouza and Mr Yeo.
I'm not gonna type it out I have typed it about five times already.
Bye.

As the clouds move in with the driving wind so strong
Shucks my legs hurt a lot a lot.
Kai Yan, if you see this, I know you're gonna say "I told you so".
How am I going to do drills tomorrow. My muscles are cramping. Still. Again. Et cetera. And i can't even walk down the stairs without freaking
flinching. And I walk super slowly and unnaturally because. Okay, you get the idea.
I can't get up without a chair or table. And I can't squat down. Sigh.
Maybe I shouldn't rant here.
Anyway.
I downloaded (finally) the chords for a lot of songs!
It Will Be Fun to try to play them!
... But I don't have the chords for Glitter Years which is Sad because I Want To Know How To Play It!
In case you're wondering about the weird capitalization, it's all Kwang Lin and her influence's fault. Yes it is.
It will not be fun lugging your No 4 to school on an exam day. Not cool at all.
Yep.

Run now, hide what you know to be the truth
You probably don't care but.
I just noticed how the bass on Not Like You totally kicks butt. Totally. The bass is awesome, and it's kind of strange/cool how the bass plays way more notes than the guitar solo. So now it seems like the bass is playing lead, and not the guitar. Which is really strange. And you can only hear it clearly if you turn up the bass boost (which is something not many people do, unfortunately).
And the bass line on I'm Not Talkin' is pretty cool too. I don't care if it's a cover. It's a
good cover, and that's what matters, to me at least. You've got to admit, someone singing while having a really heavy instrument hanging off your neck is probably incredibly strainful on your vocal chords. Of course, that includes playing said instrument.
Complicated Girl is pretty cool too, especially with the seventh chords which are not really common for Michael Steele's songs. It has this rolling quality that just carries the song with it. And yes, she has to sing on that too.
As a side note, Nickel Romeo has a pretty interesting bass line going about during the guitar solo too. And that's just cool.
Okay yes random time over.
I have just finished a whole lot of my work! Isn't that awesome :D
... and because I'm trying not to swear on my blog I'll try really hard to divert it to some other more creative outlets instead.
Never mind.
Before I either:
1) Start rambling about bass tabs (I'm quite sure no one will want to read my blog then);
2) Start swearing;
3) Totally delete this post and whatever I've typed here
I had better post it first.
[edit: Hey, I just realized the repetition style of the bass root note in Here Right Now is pretty cool too!]

North and South and East and West, where to go?
Whoo look what I found on the internet! The setlist for the "Liquid Circus @ Spaceland" concert in 2000 [also known as the public rehearsal]. Awesome.
I can't work on my Geography PT, I don't have the pictures. Therefore I'm going to blank it off for a while and work on my History. Oh you know what, I spent a really long time yesterday working on my Geography and when I switched on the computer this afternoon to continue it,
the entire freaking file deleted itself. Yes, it self-destructed. So I had to redo the whole thing and now I can't remember what I wrote for the "Wallace Trail" part.
KWANGLIN PLEASE SEND ME THE PHOTOS QUICKLY PLEASE.
And, Phyllis, I found the picture where Michael has a "pedo" look.

Can we try to salvage what we can
I've been reviewing my past 111 (eleventyone ha!) posts. And I've just noticed that I've been attempting to type in perfect punctuation since... Last August. And it's only been capitalized properly since... February. Which kind of sucks.
When I went through my posts, I see the difference between the current me and the... past me. The difference in the priorities. The difference in the word choice. The difference in... the content.
I notice, whenever I set out to write an unhappy post, it somehow turns happy. It must be because I imagine what the person reading it must be thinking, and I somehow end up laughing at that image. And that's why my posts are all so... strange.
Geography AA here I come. :/
P.S. Does anyone know what the line spacing for Geography AA is?

Love is never simple
The title of this post does not relate to the content or any of my current thoughts, it's just the part of the song I was listening to when I typed out the title.
I just noticed.
I don't know why but I just felt like starting this post on a not-so-happy note.
It's not that I don't care anymore;
It's just that I've grown better at hiding it.
"Song for a Good Son" almost brings me to tears everytime I hear it. Even reading the lyrics do that D: I am feeling really emotional today. And no, that's not a good thing. "Ask Me No Questions" and "Lost at Sea" too. I The lyrics are just so apt, and the tunes are so blue-Monday-moody sort. Lost at Sea is especially saddening.
Could it be, that we're lost at sea,
And we're drowning under the stars?
Up to me, I would ride this wave
Before we drift too far,
What a lonely way to be lost at sea.
Song for a Good Son just has that minor tune. The sort of minor key that just makes you feel really sad and depressed sort. I don't know how I managed to get hyper on it yesterday.
Ask Me No Questions is a beautiful song. It should be a classic.
I'm getting re-addicted to classics. Like Complicated Girl and Glitter Years and September Gurls and Live and Be With You and Let It Go and Stealing Rosemary. And I'll Set You Free.
Glitter Years has a too-catchy-to-not-not-sing-or-at-least-hum-along chorus. It's a total brain-sticker. I bet that's how it made the album in the first place. It's a good thing it was selected in favour of "Happy Man Today", then, because I rather prefer it. The lyrics (or for the chorus at least, I can't say the same for the verses, even I can't remember them) are really memorable.
I don't really know
How we survived the glitter years
What did we do it all for
Do you remember the glitter years?
But it isn't really... Happy either. So you see my trouble. In fact, I think most of the songs (if not all) are all somewhat depressing songs.
I've
finally figured out the reason why
all the songs on the radio sound so familiar. It's because I've been listening to the same radio station since young. And they replay the same songs over and over again. Which is why I can hum along to almost all the songs they play.
Wow I've used a lot of italics in this post, more than usual. In fact, the most since I've created this blog. I need an inspirational playlist, especially when I'm tring to do my work, not a depressing one. Who cares.
Goodbye.
And it's goodbye to love
No one ever cared if I should live or die
Time and time again the chance for love has passed me by
And all I know of love is how to live without it
I just can't seem to find it
So I've made up my mind
That I should live my life alone
And though it's not the easy way
I guess I've always known
I'd say goodbye to love
[edit:]
I just realized! 111st post! I really need a more spunky playlist ahaha.

Grateful, oh Grateful.
My playlist contains about 40++ songs. I finally managed to find "Grateful" and "I'll Set You Free". Both of which are awesome songs. And also "Glitter Years" and "Song For A Good Son".
Wheewoo I am happy! Fweept! I chatted with Anne for the first time in... really really long(: She is buying chewing gum for me when she goes to Bintan at the end of the week. Yup, Anne, so long as it's not mint it's alright.
And she says activex sounds like some... detergent brand...
Ohman listening to "Song For A Good Son" really makes me hyper I have no idea why! It's supposed to be about a guy who commits suicide by drowning and the tune isn't very upbeat either I wonder why :/ Maybe it's just the beat hahah. Like how Eternal Flame can put people to sleep. And how Glitter Years can just make people really really wide awake.
The strange thing is that whenever I listen to some songs I'll start subconsciously writing or typing the lyrics down. Which is quite scary cos I'm trying to do my essay and then when I read through it later it suddenly has song lyrics somewhere. Cos sometimes I use song lyrics (or part thereof) to describe some stuff. And then I start typing out the lyrics that are supposed to go after that ._. Anne showed me this really funny video I'm still laughing over it(: Go see hahah!
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/loadingreadyrun/1445-Green
I want to change blogskins. To a black and white one. Then I can have my own icons. Which would be totally awesome.
All we are and all we need is all we are and all we need is all we are is all we need to be grateful.
[edit:] I think it's quite scary how I seem to be posting say twice a day. That must be saying something about my focus on my homework. AHHHH GET BACK TO WORK SHERMINE.

What is lost can always be regained
Epic quote(:
The question of why is water wet cannot be answered with regular science methodology, but can be answered in Zen Physics. Water is wet because this is the nature of water. The nature of rock is to be hard. The nature of grass is to be green. The nature of water is to be wet. To take away from its true nature is to destroy what is and thus water is not water anymore. It may be ice, but it surely is not water. Water begets wetness. Wetness begets slipperiness. Slipperiness begets falling. Falling begets a long and painful hospital stay.
translationparty.com is so funny hahah! If you type in "Some dreams do come true" of "Here right now" you can totally screw up the system and get the thing in an infinite loop. Also, punctuation and capitalisation DOES make a difference. If you type "Here Right Now!" and "Here right now" there is a difference in the result. For the one with the exclamation mark, you get an infinite loop revolving around three sentences, and for the latter you get "Here now" or "Now here".
Here's a totally (?!) equation.
Be With You. --> Please click.
Also, how on earth is "Let it go" the same as "Let's go to it"?!
Ridiculous, that is.
Sigh, I had better do Geography AA now. But I don't have any pictures! And what's the appendix for?!
D:< I just noticed I wrote 1500 words for my Commonwealth Essay and max is 700 so I cut it down now it's exactly 700 words.

UGH I HATE NON-UNIFORMED SPACINGS ON BLOGSKINS THEY ARE SO IRRITATING.
I can't stand short forms, they might be slightly faster to type but it takes a hell lot of time to decipher them! D:<
I hope our RS project will somewhat influence people to use better English please I HATE CHATSPEAK. Come on, it's called CHATspeak because people use them in chat sessions! Now everyone uses it on blogs and in emails and they get so irritating to read.

This is so creepy ahaha! In the Eternal Flame video Debbi totally looks like Lady Gaga, really(: And no wonder when I first saw the Lady Gaga pictures I was thinking to myself, "Why on earth does she look so familiar?"
BASSBOOST IS AWESOME IN SONGS(: Really. I love backup vocals! They are so cool.
Never mind, random.
Well, I tried. I really really tried. Hard. But it isn't working. Does it matter how much effort you put into it if the end result's all the same?

Oh the sun was in their eyes, And the desert was dry
They stood upon the deck
As the ship went out to sea
The wind it took the sails
And left the land a memory
All upon the shore for
To wonder why the sailor goes
All to close their eyes
And wonder what the sailor knows
That is you to they
That is how they think you are
Never on the land
But sailing by the North Star
That is you to they
That is how they think you are
Never on the land
But sailing by the North Star
To the tower and to the ravens
And the tale which hopes they'll never leave
What if they should go?
We always dread to think of them
I wonder if they flew one day
And no-one ever knew they'd gone
To circle over ships at sea
Claiming yet another son
That is you to they
That is how they think you are
Never on the land
But sailing by the North Star
That is you to me
That is how I think you are
Never on the land
But gone to find the North Star
It is a beautiful song! (: Yes, Sandy Denny, Northstar Grassman and the Ravens. Which is kind of strange, because the song doesn't have any reference to "grassman" at all. And "grassman" can be interpreted in a variety of ways, which I shall not post. Not now, anyway.
I am tired. And bored. And sleepy. And et cetera.

Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul
I would like to think that I know what I'm doing. But I don't.
You know after one week of consideration, I think some things are better left kept to myself and unsaid. Like camp, for example. When I think of it I think of last year! I don't know why! And then it makes me feel all sad and everything. And yeah, you could refer to my long ago posts if you don't know what I'm talking about.
Nevermind, LJ week has been pretty fun so far(: Although Monday's was the Project Management thing. I think it was pretty okay, maybe because I'm a person who actually enjoys lectures, and I haven't done any new jigsaw puzzles in a long time. Then on Tuesday we had Kukup trip! That was the first time in eight years my passport had a stamp. To put it very simply, it had been totally empty until then :P Half or more of the time was spent on the bus. Then we started getting so bored that we played a game. Someone sings a song, or part of it, then the other people playing will guess the song! Rather cool. Somehow or other, it turned into "Let's all sing a song together!" You get the idea. I am sad. No one knows Northstar Grassman and the Ravens. What's cool, though, is that Michelle Lim knows Emotion (awesome!) and Yen Siang's mum knows Be With You. Which is kind of strange, because that song is kind of rare/strange. Okay whatever.
Today! We went to Changi Chapel Museum and Bukit Chandu and Dairy Farm. The first two for History and Dairy Farm for Geog. History was rather cool because they had the tsuru cranes in the chapel and the passage used to describe it was almost exactly the same as that of the one in my origami book. Which, by the way, has two whole B3 pages dedicated to it. Bukit Chandu is cool. But the "show" thing was fake, I think Louise and I kind of agreed about that. Come on, you could hear people screaming over the sound of the mortar. That just doesn't make any sense. And the way they're cocking the rifle... Dangerous. Dairy Farm. Quite fun, actually. Took many pictures with Kwang Lin's camera. And borrowed Allison's DSLR (which I am so jealous of ugh) for a while. Then Aaheli and Michelle and Louise and I posed with what we called the "stalker cow". Which is really funny, you should have seen the pictures. Louise should upload them on facebook, hahah.
Listening to Allison's stories about the Paramore concert, I am suddenly glad I have never been to an actual band concert before. Really. And knowing from previous videos and recordings, 1970's to 1990's concerts were... Less wild. Less people screaming during the songs, which, trust me, would have ruined it for the other people listening, or attempting to.
Whatever. I am currently listening to Emotion! (: Awesome, but you probably didn't want/need to know that.

Thoughts of leaving disappear each time I see your eyes
Ohmygosh I have just returned from Camp STEEL, and you know what, it was fun/boring/exhausting.
Fun as in the activities.
Boring as in the waiting time.
Exhausting as in 2 hours of sleep. Only. Then PT right after that.
I'll change everyone's MSN nicknames to their, ahem, preferred ones.
Oh and guess what, our PC was Julie. Which was super weird, cos she kept on dropping random hints/anecdotes to us. And yes, we do know our standards are low.
Paintball really sucks. I kind of had the oil in my hair, which is gross, by the way, so don't try that out. Really.
Rappelling is cool.
MOC is really fun. I love the rope swing it is awesome! Jal totally fell into the water she got her pants and everything wet :P I have weird random bruises in places I didn't know existed. Oops. I also have on nice one on my knee (from the tire thing) and a few others around it. Awesome.
Maybe I'll just blog tomorrow. I'm to tired to even type now, man.
[Xiao Yun I totally hate you. You destroyed my SIM card. Now I need to get a new one, and you know what, it's TWENTY DOLLARS. TWENTY FULL DOLLARS. D: ohmygosh this really really sucks.]

Tomorrow may be even brighter than today
Since I threw my sadness away,
Only yesterday.
OMG CAMP STEEL TOMORROW SO EXCITING!
I can't wait man(:
Hahah, the title says it all. Oh man so exciting it's our first camp at HQ! I asked Yu Hua just now she said it was fun. THIS IS SO COOL. :D Our platoon had better live up to standards though. Not sure if we can make it, but we'll try our best!
CAMP STEEL <3
Oh. My. Shit. My dad just unfolded my No.4 sleeves. He insists that it's wrong.
Screwed. Now I have to refold them. THEY'RE NOT AS NICE AS JUST NOW AHHHHH. D: Damn it.
Infocomm meeting today hahah(: At Trina's classroom, 406. And Trina
insisted that I go in. So well, you can guess the kind of things that happened. But seriously, I hate going into other people's classrooms with only, say, one or two people you know. It sucks. But with a bunch of say four other people it's not that bad. We were discussing this Infocomm thing about bonding the club and then Trina said like oh we used to have this angel-mortal thing in NCC air. And I asked her who her angel was and she said "Trina". It was epic.
Oh my gosh our RS proposal got accepted(: I am so happy! We were putting all our chances on it. Which is really awesome man.
Our RS group is awesome. Our project's on Internet memes and Chatspeak. Which will be cool and fun because we are cool and fun people! We have this idea of conducting surveys on a forum! Like we can ask people to "type like they normally do" and type out a paragraph or maybe a few sentences. Then we can analyze them(: Or else we can like use Omegle, cos it has the element of randomness! But that isn't feasible hahah cos it doesn't fit with our target audience etc.
Oh yes I forgot to blog about BYD (yesterday)! EPIC MANZX.
The Landers had to wear No4. So BYD they wore No4 I hope you get the implications of that. Their actual selves are wearing No4 AHAHAA.
So we went to fall in in our BYD outfits! Which was epic cos we just looked like a mishmash of weird people and totally not like standardized or professional or anything like that. Julie also gave us this (almost) funny pep talk sort of thing and right at the end Nadra went like "Part Bs, don't forget to remove your Facebook statuses on camp." Then everyone stared at Xiao Yun ahahaha so funny I hope you aren't offended Xiao Yun sorry!
WE ALSO HANDED IN CHEM PT YESTERDAY I AM HAPPYYY(:
Bye.
