All that you stood for is gone.
GUESS WHAT! (Okay you know right, so I shan't elaborate. :D)
Okay, I forgot to say this yesterday, so I shall say it now! We kind of determined that my bag weighs 5.7kg! Which is more than double of Claudia's 2.5kg bag. 8D
I am happy! Nevertheless, that should not stand in the way of an emo (I think) post. Just because I feel like posting more song lyrics.
Denny was working it real hard,
Down Sunset Boulevard
Back in nineteen seventy-three
Why would he bother going home,
His parents left him on his own
Who knows, maybe they were out getting stoned
I don't really know how we survived the glitter years
What did we do it all for?
Do you remember the glitter years?
We were the lost and lonely ones,
We hid in the discotheques all night long
Til we could see the morning sun
Denny was king he rocked the place
Dressed like a working girl from outer space
He was dancing like he wanted to dance his life away
I don't really know how we survived the glitter years
What did we do it all for?
Do you remember the glitter years?
In December of 'seventy four,
Denny wrecked his father's car
Driving home that night he was singing:
"You better hang on to yourself"
I like the David Bowie impersonation, hah. It sounds awesome, really.
I am tired. Plain tired. But happy anyway(: Okayokay nevermind it doesn't matter.
I am listening to Glitter Years, Complicated Girl, Following, September Gurls, and Between The Two over and over again. It's got that kind of quality that never makes you sick of it. :D Which is awesome. Also I'm adding in the occasional Manic Monday and Be With You.
Between The Two and Following are just plain catchy. They're acoustic. Following is like, really haunting. Between The Two has this you-can-dance-to beat. Which makes it end very nicely/weirdly/strangely. Okay, you get the idea. And I've been listening to Be With You ever since I heard it, so it's kind of like I can't ever get sick of it. Which is awesome.
Okay maybe I should get off blogging about the songs I listen to. But I can't help it!(: Maybe I should try to, um, restrict myself.
Back to school!
SLI WAS AWESOME. Okay you know why. If you don't, it's okay, you don't need to. It was like, epicly hilarious. Mr Lau was doing this act thing with the House Captains, and if you know them, well, I don't think I need to describe further. OH AND AT ASSEMBLY I SAW ONE OF THE GB GUARD-OF-HONOUR ACTUALLY DO THE PLEDGE-THING (oops I can't remember the command :P) INSTEAD OF HOMAD! Then she lucky realize already faster change. Funny nevertheless.
Anyway, we invited some other school students over. Which included RI, Hwa Chong, and of
course RI(JC) people! When I went to school in the morning some RI/Hwa Chong guys were standing around outside the main gate looking really uncomfortable. Ker Rui, Yan Tong, and I had a good laugh about it later(: Then when we did school song and Raffles Cheers at the end they just stood in a corner looking really... spare. Cos even all the RI(JC) students who came back did cheers and sang the school song with us too.
Right at the end we did Dedication. Nostalgia alert! Reminded me of the time we did it during Affirmation.
It was. Hilarious. And not at all qualitative. Entertainment. Quote, "it was okay lah, abit weird but lovable". Ahem,
lovable is kind of a weird word to describe today's, um, session, so I shall use the phrase "somewhat interesting". There.
I hope you got that kind-of reference.
Now I have 170 icon-shaped-but-not-icon-sized pictures! Awesome.
I post one(:
It's the one in "Hazy Shade of Winter" where Micki has, I quote, a "Joan Jett hairstyle"! Which refers mostly to the few bits of hair sticking out on top, I guess.
Also there's this scene in "Manic Monday" (near 2:27) where Micki looks like a
certain someone, but I think it must be cos of the video warp and the eyebrows (ahemahem). No, it's probably not who you're thinking of. There, all clear.
TGIF huh.
